Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 May 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Well Seasoned (the “Site”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit https://www.in4dot.com/well-seasoned/. By using the Site you agree to the practices described below.

Who we are

Well Seasoned is an independent kitchen accessories review and news site for home cooks. We publish product reviews, buying guides, and category news. We are not affiliated with any manufacturer or retailer mentioned on the Site.

For privacy enquiries, contact us at [email protected].

What information we collect

We do not require you to create an account, sign in, or submit personal information to read the Site. The information collected falls into three categories:

  • Server logs. Like most websites, our server records standard request data — IP address, user agent, requested URL, referrer, timestamp — for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate traffic analysis. These logs are retained for up to 30 days.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. The Site itself does not set first-party tracking cookies. Third-party services we use (described below) may set cookies on your browser.
  • Information you choose to provide. If you contact us by email, we receive whatever information you include in that message. We use it only to respond to you.

Third-party services we use

Google AdSense

We display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can learn more at policies.google.com/technologies/ads and opt out of personalised advertising at google.com/settings/ads.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we use Google’s certified consent management platform to obtain your consent before personalised ads or ad-measurement cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time using the consent controls displayed on the Site.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic patterns — which pages are read, how visitors arrive, and how the Site performs technically. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes your IP address and device information to produce these reports. We have enabled Google Consent Mode v2 with denied defaults, which means analytics and advertising cookies are not set until you click “Accept” on the consent banner. If you decline, Google receives only cookieless pings used for anonymous aggregate modelling. See policies.google.com/privacy and tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout for Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

Amazon Associates

Well Seasoned participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com. When you click an Amazon link on this Site, Amazon may set cookies to attribute the referral. Amazon’s privacy practices are described at amazon.com/privacy. We do not receive personally identifiable information about which readers click these links.

Cloudflare

We use Cloudflare as a content delivery network and security layer. Cloudflare may process limited request metadata (IP address, user agent, requested URL) to protect the Site against abuse. See cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

How we use information

  • To operate, secure, and improve the Site.
  • To display advertising — through Google AdSense, as described above.
  • To measure aggregate traffic (which articles are popular, page load times, error rates).
  • To respond to enquiries you send us by email.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not build user profiles ourselves. Ad personalisation is handled entirely by Google according to their policies.

Your choices

  • Block cookies. You can configure your browser to refuse all cookies or to notify you when a cookie is being set. Blocking cookies will not prevent you from reading the Site but may affect how ads are displayed.
  • Opt out of personalised ads. Visit google.com/settings/ads to manage Google’s ad personalisation, or use the consent banner shown on the Site if you are in the EEA / UK / Switzerland.
  • Do Not Track. Our servers do not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, because there is no industry consensus on what they require. Use the controls above instead.

Your rights (EEA, UK, California)

If you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation gives you the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, restrict processing, and object to processing. If you live in California, the CCPA gives you similar rights, including the right to know what information has been collected and to request deletion. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with “Privacy request” in the subject line. We will respond within 30 days.

Children

The Site is intended for adult home cooks. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please email us so we can delete it.

Data retention and security

We retain server logs for up to 30 days. We use industry-standard measures to protect the Site against unauthorised access, but no internet transmission or storage system is perfectly secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the most recent change was made. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site’s homepage for at least seven days.
